just right the following in your command prompt window
attrib -h -r -s /s /d F:\*.*
and then press Enter
(remember substituting 'F' for the Drive Letter of your Flash Drive)
this may take a while but wait for the process to complete and then Explore your Flash Drive. the folders must have now been restored to their original state and will be accessible as ever before.
don't forget to manually delete those annoying redundant shortcuts from your Flash Drive.
